AL Write-Up - February 13 2026

The leading cause of injury in old men is thinking they are still young men! 

Game 1: Western Bank vs Liberty Buick: 

Both teams opened up with 2 runs in the 1st inning RBI’s from Brian Hotze and Dan Griffiths for Western, RBI’s from Brant Williams and Jerry Bartholomaus for Liberty 2-2. 

Top of the 2nd Western deposited 3 runs after a Steve Merrill HR then held Liberty scoreless 5-2. 

Top of 3rd Western added 2 more runs after a Conrad Milan 2B 7-2. The Buicks rallied for a 4 run max to tighten up the score after a 2B from Ken Hill and Gary Mulkins RBI 1B 7-6. 

Over the 4th and 5th Western added just 1 run and Liberty added 2 runs now 8-8. 

Top of 6th the Bankers scored 3 runs of 5 hits including a Greg Bisnett 3B. Liberty answered with 3 runs to keep pace still tied at 11 ALL. 

Western failed to score in the open inning. Liberty put winning runner on 2nd as Buckley Simmons drove in the winner with a line drive to LF for a 12-11 win Liberty.

Game 2: Camino Del Sol vs Edward Jones 

Camino came out of the gates hot scoring 4 runs after max in the 1st and 3 runs in the 2nd the big hits Doubles from Bob Hull and Bob Kuehl. Jones could only push a solo run across after a Mitch Czech RBI 7-1 after 2 complete innings. 

The Gravediggers dug a hole scoring just 1 run over the last 5 innings as the Investors added 3 runs in the 3rd and 4th then 3 more over the 5th and 6th to win 10-8.

Game 3: Classic Car Wash vs Home Smart 

Camino scored 4 runs over the 1st 3 innings and Home could only add a solo run 4-1. 

In the top of the 4th Classic waxed in 4 run max on 6 hits to take a commanding lead 8-1. Bottom half of 4th Home added 2 runs on 5 hits to close some 8-3. 

The 5th inning Classic put up 3 more runs with 5 straight hits now 11-3. After a Jeff Upton lead off 2B Home Smart could only push a solo run across 11-4.

Smart tightened up the defense preventing Car Wash from scoring in the 6th and 7th. Smart rallied for 4 runs after 8 hits in the 6th then added another 3 runs to tie game at 11-11 sending this game into extra innings. 

In the tie breaker inning Car Wash added 3 runs putting pressure on Home Smart 14-11. With runners on 1st and 3rd Steve Fedie single in a run to move runners to 1st and 2nd now 14-12. Tim Barkes 2B RBI scored another run moving runners to 2nd and 3rd now 14-13. Intentional walk to Nick Missos loaded bases. Tony Perillo stepped in and drove a line drive 2B into LC scoring the tying and winning runs 15-14 Home.
