Game 1: Liberty Buick vs Classic Car Wash 

Both teams scored 2 runs in the first inning - big hits for Liberty’s Jerry Bartholomaus and George Lorentzen, for Classic a Dan Gates 3B, 2-2. Liberty Buick scored 4 run max on 6 hits including a Brant Williams 2B 6-2. Classic answered with 3 runs on 5 hits as Randy Coutts doubled 6-5. 

The scoring slowed down as the Buicks plated 4 runs over the next 5 innings as Brant Williams hit a 2 run HR. Classic could only score 2 runs as Mike Cross doubled. Final Liberty 10-7 over Classic. 

Liberty: George Lorentzen 4-4, Brant Williams 3-4 2B HR, Buckley Simmons 2-3, Max Beckner 3-4 

Classic: Dan Gates 3-4 3B, Ed Redifer 3-4, Todd Grunwaldt 3-4

Game 2: Western Bank vs Camino Del Sol 

Western scored 3 runs after RBI double from Larry Adams 3-0. Bottom of 1st Camino also scored 3 runs after RBI’s from Bob Kuehl and Gary Mulkins 3-3. Western went 3 up 3 down in the 2nd and Camino scored a solo run 4-3. Western took the lead after back to back doubles from Dan Griffiths and Oly Olsen then held Camino 5-4. 

The Bankers scored solo runs in next 2 innings to lead 7-4 but the Gravediggers put up a 4 run max and regained the lead 8-7. Western scored 4 runs in top of 6th off 7 hits now lead 11-7. Camino pushed 1 run in over the 6th and 7th Western wins 11-8. 

Western: Larry Adams 4-4 2B, Dan Griffiths 2-3 2B, Pete Nardella 2-3, Oly Olsen 2-4 2B 

Camino: Rich Fraley 3-3, Bob Hull 3-3, Bob Kuehl 3-4, (sub) Greg Simon 3-3 

Game 3: Home Smart vs Edward Jones 

The game was tied 1-1 after 2 complete innings. Home put up max 4 runs in top of 3rd on 6 hits to lead 5-1. Jones scored 3 runs to keep pace after doubles from Mark Sertic and Geoffrey Bianchi 5-4. 

Smart kept the pressure on scoring another 4 runs as Jones added 2 runs 9-6 Smart. The Bankers made another 6 run deposit as Smart was held scoreless the rest of the game final 12-9 Jones.
